Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement and community unified by our trust in the potential of each of us to recover and find freedom from the suffering of addiction. We believe that the traditional Buddhist teachings, often referred to as the Dharma, offer a powerful approach to healing from addiction and living a life of true freedom. Each meeting will include moments for introductions, meditation, and group sharing. Sharing during the meeting is always optional. This meeting is open to anyone seeking recovery from addictions (of all forms), as well as to those curious about living a sober/addiction free life.

8:00 - 9:00p.m. Wild Soul Movement with Alexandra

As Wild Soul Movement there are 2 types of classes: Wild Soul Wisdom (mantra based movement) and Wild Soul Flow (erotic body class with more free form/ sensual movement set to music).

10:30am-12:00pm Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Practice group with Jeff (starts 11/5)

Practice Group - Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Nonviolent Communication is the name given to the concepts and practices that help us think, speak, and hear others with a focus on needs. This, in turn, empowers us to relate to ourselves and one another with compassion and create more peace in our lives and in our world.

This group meetup will offer opportunities for those familiar with the concepts of NVC who wish to deepen their understanding and practice. It is highly recommended that meeting participants be familiar with the text ‘Nonviolent Communication’ by Marshall Rosenberg as this practice group will utilize the concepts outlined in the book.

For those who are unfamiliar with NVC and are curious about learning more about it, you are encouraged to contact Jeff to arrange a brief zoom introduction to NVC. He will happily identify resources which may be helpful to you in preparation for participating in the practice group.

When we identify, understand, and connect to our universal human needs and values, rather than diagnosing and judging, we have a much greater ability to understand one another in a way that empowers us to resolve conflict without violence.

COVID SAFTEY PROTOCOL

The yogic principle of Ahimsa (non-harming) teaches us that it is our responsibility to care for others just as it is to care for ourselves. We trust the medical community that vaccination is the safe + responsible choice, not only to keep ourselves safe as individuals, but also to do our part in helping get the virus under control for our community.

Masks: can be worn if you so chose!

Other Measures:

CAPACITY: We will be capping classes at 50% in person- 10 people per class, so there is plenty of space for social distancing.

DISTANCING: We ask that attendees space themselves in the space when attending.

DISINFECTING: facilitators will be using eco-human friendly disinfectants to clean all items used in classes

Thank you for respecting our policies when visiting!
